Caring with Courage

Caring with Courage is a collection of films and articles published by the International Council of Nurses (INC). The series features numerous inspiring stories from around the globe - from a dynamic Ugandan nurse on a mission to stop tuberculosis in its tracks and nurses harnessing the potential of AI to care for mental health in Asia, to the training health care to communities in rural South Africa and the midwives working towards a safer birthing experience for indigenous women in Mexico by combining knowledge from both the past and the present – these stories cover the incredible impact of nurses all over the world.

As part of the global health network, ICN has graciously permitted us to cross-post the Caring with Courage resource so that members of the GRNEN can hear these incredible stories.

Caring with Courage was produced for ICN by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, the films and articles in Caring with Courage reveal the power of care and dedication in the inspiring work of nurses.

Ten training webinars were developed to educate nurses managing the Ukraine refugee crisis on topics that can help them in various public health and life-saving situations. Each webinar was translated in Romanian and Russian for maximum exposure.

The  “Public Health and Disaster Management Nursing and Refugee Support” webinar series coordinated by the North Carolina-Moldova Nurse Collaborative is made possible with a grant from the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International and the Matson Halverson Christiansen Hamilton (MHCH) Foundation in collaboration with the Global Rural Nursing Exchange Network (GRNEN).

These webinars were developed in partnership with the Guilford Rotary Club, District 7690 in North Carolina, and the Nursing Association of the Republic of Moldova.
